Hello

Hello, Facebook friends! I had planned on helping Megan Bauer out with an hour-long case study on beer and people who enjoy it tomorrow from 3-4 pm (bonus: you get a beer at the end!).
Alas, my work schedule has rather rudely interrupted my plans, and now Megan is a person short for her study. If anyone out there in the 24-34 range and wants to talk about their enjoyment of beer, take my place by messaging Megan about it. I would greatly appreciate it, and so would she.

Well bobbikins

Well bobbikins, I am now living in Chico, California. Most of my life is still in boxes and the studio will not be setup for 3 weeks. All is OK, it’s springtime and I am in coast mode. Thank you again to all those who helped in the plans, the pack, the ship, and especially Dennis Saxman who helped drive the truck. Tomorrow, Sunday, off to spend the day on Steve’s houseboat on Lake Oroville.

Re-posting something from the day Newton happened. Prayers to all those affected in Boston. “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of ‘disaster,’ I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.” — Mister Rogers

We as human beings should be more civilized than animals

We as human beings should be more civilized than animals, and not focus all of our energies on the sexualization of the body, whether that be male or female. In our society today the female body has been objectified and portrayed to be an object for lustful desires. I am a strong independent loving woman and know that I am worth more than my body. I have skills, talents, service and kindness to offer. That is what we should celebrate.
