Like many writers, I’ve lived with anxiety. And like many of you, I’ve hid the reality of what that means, even from the people I love most. But if we continue to hide it, those around us, and society as a whole, will never understand. Here’s a quick sketch of what it means to live with anxiety.
I’m thankful that I’ve tamed this beast, for the most part, though it still growls at me from time to time. For those of you still suffering from regular attacks, I offer my hugs, and my understanding.
Hey friends! Can you help promote my blog by sharing? I blogged tonight about a topic I’m asked frequently about: chores, children and developing a sense of personal responsibility. Come have a read and share your opinion! I’d love to hear what you think. Can you help promote my blog? Here’s today’s latest post.
What a difference a month makes. This is the first time since we began coming to Las Cruces a few years ago that there was this wet stuff in the Rio Grande – called water! Of course, we’ve always come in March, but this year April. They must have opened the reservoir.
Some of you know I was getting texts during the Erma workshop that my son had a skateboard accident and hurt his shoulder.
Found out today it is a grade 3 ac tear.
Grade 4 would have meant surgery.
First time I’ve ever been happy about a lower grade! 😀

“I have to say a friend of mine knows Ryans family and he posted all kinds of stuff about the show on his FB page. He’s the son of former mayor Rudin in Sacramento, and one of the lead cameramen for KCRA, and a huge theatre supporter. He was really impressed”

Well, it’s April, Sanders is still in the race, and Clinton’s coronation has apparently been pushed back yet again. So I made another contribution to the Sanders campaign this morning. Just a little FU to Clinton, Wasserman-Schultz, the DNC and the rest of that sell-out crowd. Nothing like a movement that just refuses to roll over, is there? 🙂
Sierra Blanca, Texas, is one of the saddest towns in America. We pass by it on Interstate 10 every year at this time, driving from Houston to Las Cruces, and we always pull off the highway to take a look. There is a “better” par of town, but not much. And they are justly proud of the Vaqueros. There’s a lesson here somewhere.
Happy Sunday. For those who don’t have to work, enjoy yourself. My thought for today is: it’s always important to have a goal to accomplish each day, but don’t become too obsessed with following a routine at the expense of forgetting about relationships with the people you love and who care about you. Sometimes flexibility is warranted.
I don’t agree with the sign at the AFL game but they have more rights to show it than anyone has to stop them to disagree with a religion is NOT RACIST as no religion has any rights according to the 1983 referendum on freedom of religion was voted NO and a religion is NOT a RACE so learn the difference and stop pandering to those that would change OUR WAY OF LIFE
